Join HBAC members current and future for a social celebrating the re-launch of the Highlands Borough Arts Council.

As HBAC enters its fifth full year of programming, it is expanding its Leadership Team and Advisory Team to continue to provide the diversity of programming it has become known for. HBAC invites you to celebrate the launch of the 2018-2019 season, meet our Leadership and Advisory Teams and socialize with artists and art enthusiasts from the area September 25, 2018 from 7:00-9:00pm at Proving Ground in Highlands, NJ.  

The season launch is open to HBAC members and the general public. Proving Ground is located on the scenic waterfront at 56 Shrewsbury Avenue in Highlands, NJ and features two bars with 36 televisions and a tiki bar that is open weather permitting.

The restaurant serves modern American fare, with a little bit of everything from steaks, burgers, and sandwiches to seafood and a full raw bar. “We took a little history from the area when naming the restaurant, after the proving grounds in Sandy Hook”, said Jack, the owner of Proving Ground. “The proving grounds were a place where they tested artillery and that is what The Proving Ground is all about, testing new menu items and specializing in the newest craft beer and new craft cocktails, and always keeping it fresh,” he added. Proving Ground serves recognizable favorites, with their own special twist.
