Dr. Candy, wrote her doctoral dissertation on Feminist Art. In addition to teaching  at several universities in Mexico City, she has been a docent for the last ten years at the Blue House (also known as Frida’s Museum). She is a leading authority on the life and art of Frida Kahlo. The collection at the Blue House does not circulate, so the only place to see it is at the Blue House. This is art that Frida did not want to be publicly exhibited and most was not seen until after her death. The reason: much of that art had to do with her crippled body and the painful surgeries she endured.

About the Blue House:  Frida grew up in the Blue House; she and her husband, artist Diego Rivera, transformed it into their home with beautiful gardens and art studio. Today, the Blue House is a historic house museum and art museum dedicated to her life and work.
